Dogwood Gala at the Governor's Mansion is a special fundraising event for Chamber Music Raleigh (est. 1941), the organization responsible for producing the Sights & Sounds Series at the North Carolina Museum of Art and the Charlotte Masters Series at Queens University as well as the educational outreach that accompanies each concert. The afternoon will include:
- An all-Beethoven piano/cello program headlined by Grammy Award-winning cellist Zuill Bailey
- Bailey (also an avid sommelier) will lead a tasting of six select wines with hors d'oeuvres served by the Governor's staff at the Executive Residence.
- A silent auction with art, cruises, international travel packages, golf packages, arts event tickets and dinners from the Triangle's finest restaurants.
- Docent tours of the grounds at what is expected to be the peak dogwood bloom weekend.
The gala is limited to 100 attendees, so tickets are available by invitation only until March 15, 2020. Any remaining tickets at that time will be available to the public.
Call 919.821.2030 if you have questions about the event or any other CMR concert or education program.
